Bah humbug! The Black stocking, is that the meaning of Christmas? I think not!

The black stocking, people jaded by too many holidays in December; a combination of overdosing on Happy Hannukhah (the blue stocking), Merry Christmas (the red and the green stocking), Kwaanza (the patterned stocking) - it happens.
Still, we need not be Scrooge. We should be more like faithful people, not necessarily lambs, when and where Christmas is concerned. Why be selfish, unless we have nothing to offer? I have nothing to offer people financially right now, so my gifts to the world are going to be things that money cannot purchase. I guess I could tap myself out, become spiritually poor, and then be more than likely to be having an internal grudge match, if not an external one. Scrooge is merely someone who expresses the grudge that the mere sight of the world, or anyone of the world creates internally in the psyche of Scrooge. Sad - that it is, yes.
Psychology Today states that Jesus Christ is the self - I think not, my inner self, the self I repress, is Scrooge. Just in case you wonder why it is that I am always too generous, it is because each gesture of generosity is painful for me. I don't want to give, therefore, I give as much as I am able to, and then some. That is what Christmas is about.
